This guide walks you through creating your ConvoTool account, building your first AI agent, and embedding it on your website. By the end, you’ll have a working chat agent ready to answer your customers’ questions.

Create Your Account

1

Head to ConvoTool and create your account with your email or Google sign-in.
2

Verify your email

Check your inbox for a verification link and click it to activate your account.
3

Create your organization

Give your organization a name. This is where all your agents, team members, and billing live.
You can start with a free plan and upgrade anytime as your needs grow.

Build Your First Agent

Once you’re in the dashboard, click Create Agent to launch the setup wizard.
1

Enter your business info

Tell us your company name, industry, and what you’d like your agent to help with. This helps ConvoTool tailor the agent’s behavior to your business.
2

Configure your agent

Choose an AI model, set the personality, and customize how your agent responds. You can adjust the creativity level (temperature) and write a custom system prompt — or use our defaults to get started fast.
3

Add your knowledge

Train your agent by uploading documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT), scraping your website, pasting text, or creating Q&A pairs. The more content you provide, the more accurate your agent becomes.
4

Customize the look

Pick your brand colors, set a welcome message, and choose where the chat widget appears on your website.
Your agent is now ready to go.

Test Your Agent

Before going live, head to the Playground to test your agent’s responses.
  • Try different questions your customers might ask.
  • Switch between AI models to compare response quality.
  • Adjust the temperature slider to fine-tune creativity vs. precision.
The Playground lets you experiment without affecting your live agent. Test as much as you like.

Embed on Your Website

Go to the Connect page for your agent and copy the embed code.
Beyond your website, you can connect your agent to messaging channels like Slack, WhatsApp, Messenger, and SMS.
