Customize the chat interface - ConvoTool

Make the chat widget feel like part of your site. Open your agent’s Settings page and select the Chat Interface tab. A live preview on the right updates as you change each setting.

Generate a theme from your website

To get a matching look fast, paste your website URL and click Generate Theme. ConvoTool reads your site and suggests colors that fit your brand. You can fine-tune any value afterward.

Content

Setting	What it controls
Title	The name shown at the top of the chat window.
Icon	A custom image (PNG) shown as the widget’s avatar. Upload it and preview before applying.
Welcome message	The first message visitors see when they open the chat.
Placeholder text	The hint text inside the message input (e.g. “Ask me anything…”).
Floating messages	Up to five short prompts shown as clickable chips before the visitor types — a good way to suggest what to ask. Add or remove them individually.
Footer text	Optional text at the bottom of the widget.
Footer link	A URL the footer text links to when clicked.

Colors

Setting	What it controls
Primary color	The widget header background and the agent’s message bubbles.
Secondary color	The send button.
Bot message text color	Text color inside the agent’s message bubbles.
User message background color	Background of the visitor’s own message bubbles.
User message text color	Text color inside the visitor’s message bubbles.

Style

Setting	Options
Border radius	`4px`, `8px`, `12px`, `16px`, or `24px` — how rounded the widget corners and bubbles are.
Font family	Inter, Roboto, Open Sans, Lato, or Montserrat.

Watch the live preview as you adjust colors and fonts — it renders the widget exactly as visitors will see it. Remember to save your changes.
