A draft is a working copy of your agent’s configuration. You can change anything in a draft and test it in the Playground, and none of it affects your live agent until you publish.

Working with drafts

  • Live draft — the first time you open the Playground, a draft is created for you so you can start editing right away.
  • Switch drafts — use the draft selector in the top bar to move between drafts.
  • Create a draft — click + New to make a fresh, named draft.

Editing a draft

The config editor has three sections, each the same as the matching Agent settings tab: A badge on each section shows how many of its settings differ from the live agent, so you can see exactly what you’ve changed.

Publishing

When a draft is ready, click Publish. A diff shows everything that changed compared with the live agent and how many sections are affected. Confirm to make the draft live — the previous live configuration is saved to version history so you can always go back.
If a publish can’t go through, ConvoTool tells you why: the draft might reference something that no longer exists, or someone else may have published a change while you were editing. Review the message and try again.
